Here is some information and advice from Mike himself
Location & Parking
The Revolution Brewpub + Kitchen is located in Chicago's formerly gritty, now fancy-pants Logan Square neighborhood (North Side). For those driving, there is metered street parking (and likely free Sunday parking on California St.). There are also SpotHero parking lots within 3-5 mins. walking distance if you are app-saavy and prefer to reserve a spot in advance. If you're staying in the City, the Brewpub is also accessible via public transportation (a 2 min. walk from the "California" stop on the Blue line of the "L", and bus routes on California, Milwaukee and Fullerton).
Accommodations
Mike's suggestions for Hotels in the North Loop:
Under $150 a. Hotel Felix: 111 W Huron. (When I looked it was $131)
Under $200 a. Westin on Michigan: 909 N Michigan b. Chicago Marriott: 540 N Michigan
Under $250 a. Whitehall: 105 East Dearborn b. Club Quarters: 75 East Wacker Drive c. AC Hotel by Marriott: 630 N Rush ST.
Under $300 Omni chicago: 676 N Michigan Ave Sofitel: 20 East Chestnut
These are just a sampling of available hotels. Also the prices can vary by the day. So the best way is to keep looking. I found these on Kayak. All of these are good to great. The Felix is a bit rundown, but in an ok neighborhood and have stayed there.
The rest are all pretty great.

Taste of Lincoln Avenue Lincoln Square, July 26-28 The Taste Of Lincoln Avenue festival has been around for over 40 years and is a consistently well-organized, fun time. Along with lots of neighborhood restaurants, there are arts and crafts, and one main music stage—which we’ve learned to appreciate after hearing battle-of-the-bands competing from different stages for our attention.
